On Wednesday, September 10th, we held our annual Board Meeting โ a key moment for our community. During this meeting, a new president was elected to lead the EJA for the next three years. ๐
We are proud to share that the person chosen is none other than the Director of EJC2025 โ someone who has already proven incredible leadership, vision, and dedication to the juggling world. ๐ช๐ฅ
๐ Who is Simon ร Campo?
-
At just 15 years old, Simon won a gold medal at the Dutch Juggling Championships, which kicked off a journey of shows and workshops all across the country.
-
Later, Simon studied Industrial Design at TU Eindhoven, and went on to help grow the start-up Sendcloud as Product Lead, developing a new business model that remains profitable today.
-
In 2025, Simon led one of the largest circus festivals in the world: the European Juggling Convention, gathering over 6,500 people and more than 80 volunteers.
-
Nowadays, through simonacampo.nl, Simon also works as a business coach, supporting small companies, creatives, freelancers and teams looking for clarity, change, or simply a path that feels more aligned.
๐ What does this mean for the EJA?
With Simon ร Campo as president, we can expect:
โจ A leader with deep artistic and organizational experience.
โจ Fresh energy and vision for the next three years.
โจ A strong bridge between juggling, creativity, and community growth.
We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to everything the future holds for the EJA and the juggling community worldwide. ๐๐คน

He now takes over from Jonas Fathy, who has done an incredible job leading the EJA since 2020. We truly admire and love Jonas for everything he has given to our community. ๐๐
๐ Thank you, Jonas Fathy ๐
After four unforgettable years, we want to send all our gratitude, admiration, and love to Jonas Fathy, who has just completed his mandate as President of the European Juggling Association.
Since 2020, Jonas has been the heart, the mind, and the steady hands guiding the EJA. He took on the role during some of the most challenging times for our community, navigating a global pandemic, uncertain conventions, and a world of constant changes. And through it all, Jonas brought clarity, patience, and an endless passion for juggling and community.
โจ Under his leadership:
-
The EJA stayed alive and strong during COVID, keeping connections even when physical meetings were impossible.
-
He helped the Board grow more structured, transparent, and supportive, setting foundations that will last.
-
He represented jugglers across Europe with integrity, kindness, and a true sense of service.
-
He showed us that leadership in a volunteer association is not about titles, but about care, listening, and the ability to inspire others.
For all of this, Jonas, we cannot thank you enough. You have left a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit that will remain in the DNA of the EJA for years to come.
๐คน To us, you are not only a president, but also a friend, a role model, and someone we deeply love.
From the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU, JONAS. ๐
