The European Juggling Association (EJA) would like to share an important update regarding the European Juggling Convention (EJC) 2027.
After several months of dedicated work, the team preparing to host EJC 2027 in Bruneck, Italy, has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the project.
This international team, composed of experienced organisers from across Europe, had been working closely with local authorities and exploring different site options to deliver a strong and sustainable convention.
However, during the planning process, significant infrastructure challenges emerged.
In particular, uncertainties related to major construction and renovation works affecting key venues created a level of risk that could not be responsibly managed.
Despite exploring alternative solutions โ including a promising second site โ similar issues arose again, linked to renovation timelines overlapping with summer 2027.
After careful consideration, the team decided to step down, prioritising the long-term sustainability and reliability of the EJC .
๐ A message of thanks
The EJA would like to express its deep gratitude to the entire Bruneck team.
Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the community have been outstanding.
While they will not be hosting EJC 2027, their work and effort are deeply appreciated and valued.
๐ Looking ahead
Following this decision, the EJA worked quickly to secure a new and reliable solution.
We are pleased to confirm that:
๐ EJC 2027 will take place in the Azores
This ensures continuity for the convention and allows the community to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Further details about the Azores edition will be shared soon.
