2. Information We Collect

We do not require visitors to provide personal information to browse our website.

However, some technical information may be processed automatically when you visit the website. This may include:

  • Your IP address.
  • The date and time of your visit.
  • The pages you access.
  • Information about your browser and device.
  • Technical information about requests made to our server.

This information may be recorded in server logs by our hosting provider, OVHcloud, for technical operation, maintenance and security purposes.

We also use OVHcloud’s Web Statistics service to obtain aggregated information about website traffic and visitor activity. This helps us understand how our website is used and improve its content.

OVHcloud anonymises and aggregates the information used for these statistics, including IP addresses, on its own infrastructure. The statistical reports do not contain personal data that can be used to identify individual visitors.

However, IP addresses may still be present in technical server logs maintained separately by our hosting provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

Any personal or technical information processed through our website is used only where necessary for purposes such as:

  • Operating and maintaining the website.
  • Ensuring the security and stability of the website.
  • Identifying and resolving technical problems.
  • Understanding general website traffic and visitor activity.
  • Responding to enquiries sent directly to us.
  • Sending our newsletter to people who have subscribed.

We do not sell, rent or trade visitors’ personal information.

Where we process technical information for website security, maintenance or statistics, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our website, where permitted by applicable law.

Newsletter communications are based on your consent.

4. Hosting and Server Logs

Our website is hosted by OVHcloud.

Like most web hosting providers, OVHcloud may process technical information, including IP addresses and server access logs, when visitors access our website.

This information is used to operate the hosting infrastructure, monitor performance, detect technical problems and protect the website against malicious activity.

For more information about how OVHcloud processes personal data, please consult its Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

Our website uses a technically necessary cookie provided by OVHcloud called SERVER ID.

This cookie helps distribute incoming website traffic between OVHcloud’s hosting infrastructures and ensures that visitors remain connected to the same hosting server during their browsing session.

The cookie:

  • Does not contain personal information.
  • Is used exclusively for technical hosting purposes.
  • Is stored for less than 24 hours.

We do not intentionally use cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking or profiling.

Our website does not intentionally use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Newsletter

We offer a newsletter to keep members of the juggling community and other interested visitors informed about news, activities and other relevant information from the European Juggling Association.

Newsletter subscriptions are managed using Mailjet, a service provided by Sinch.

When subscribing, you will be asked to provide your email address and actively confirm your consent by ticking an opt-in checkbox. The checkbox is not selected by default.

We may process the following information:

  • Your email address.
  • Your subscription and consent information.
  • The date and time of your subscription, where recorded.
  • Information necessary to manage newsletter delivery and subscriptions.

Your email address will be used exclusively to send our newsletter and related communications that you have agreed to receive.

Subscription is entirely voluntary. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included at the end of every newsletter.

Once you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you newsletters. Your information will be removed or retained only where necessary to maintain a record of your unsubscribe request or comply with legal obligations.

Mailjet acts as our data processor and processes subscriber information on our behalf to provide the newsletter service.

Mailjet may use additional service providers (subprocessors) to provide and maintain its services. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Depending on the newsletter service configuration, technical information about email delivery and subscriber interactions may also be processed. This can include delivery failures and, if enabled, newsletter opening and link-click statistics.

For more information about Mailjet’s privacy practices, please consult its Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.
